Schedule Updates and Additions

I am excited to announce some schedule updates and additions that should help with scheduling and to continue to build our program. Fist JV game start times will all be at 6:00 PM. This may change based on away teams needs and travel times.

Another exciting announcement is that we have our first Freshman game scheduled. There maybe more added coming up so please take a look at the schedule often. I will do my best to communicate with the players and parents on added games but keeping an eye on the schedule is your best chance of keeping track of whats going on. Currently, we have one game schedule for Freshmen on Tuesday, September 24th at 7:30 away at KCD. This should be a great opportunity for our Freshmen to get live reps. Again there are more on the way so be on the look out for that.

Also, with more games being added, we are in need of a parent partner of one of younger student athletes to step up. We are asking that you would help to insure that students get feed before each JV and Freshman game. I know in the past, students brought money and one parent picked something up for them and dropped it off at the field house. The students then payed the parent back after the fact I believe. Please contact Coach Peake or Ms. Melisa Hite if you are willing to help.

Thank you again for your continued support of TNHS Football. #BUILDTHEBRICK

Reviewing Camp, Providing Clarity and Preparing for our scrimmage

This community has truly embraced our #BUILDTHEBRICK mindset. Camp was amazing. Our parents provided 13 great meals, snacks, water and so much Gatorade players got tired of it. Melissa Hite continues to be a great leader for our booster club. Tommy Hurst of Bardstown Mills allowed us to use large water tanks for ice baths. The McMahans found a way to provide us with over 40 bags of ice and an ice chest to store them. Tim Hutchins, owner of Handy Food Mart, provided discounts for our parent partners. Our administration allowed us to use the school throughout camp, and supported the team by allowing us multiple rooms in TNHS. Sheriff’s Deputy Jarren Culver talked to our students about making good choices and fighting against drug usage. Bardstown Police Officer Mike Clark talked to our students about how to handle themselves during a traffic stop. Students led lessons on how to change a car tire and how to jump start a car. What an amazing show of what our community can provide our students when it joins in on their experiences and education. Our coaching staff worked hard to prepare our students for the season and continue to work toward providing students with what they need to be successful. Thank you to everyone who helped make this new tradition possible!

Also, I want to thank all of our student athletes for this week. They continue to impress me with who they are as people. These young people truly care for one another and are continuing to grow as leaders in our community. Our student athletes are polite, disciplined, and motivated. I am truly blessed to have such responsible student athletes on our football team. They take ownership for their actions, accomplish what is being expected of them without asking, and motivate each other. I am very proud of their efforts this camp, and I am proud to be their coach.

Now I want to take a moment to provide some clarity. Please be sure to check out our 2019-2020 Football Hub located in the tabs at the top of the blog. This document should provide clarity on scheduling, roster, fundraisers and much more. Please be sure that you check it frequently because more information will continue to be added often. This document will be sent out weekly when changes are made via Remind.

For those who do not know what Remind is, it is an app used for group communication and is used by many sports teams and clubs at TNHS. Please make sure that you are receiving text and/or emails from Remind. If you are not, please have your student athlete to ask Coach Peake to add you or text/call Coach Peake.

Again thank you to everyone for your support of our program.
